Photography Policy – For Photographers

Hickory Hill Orchard is a working farm, and all professional photography sessions must follow the guidelines below to ensure safety, fairness, and an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Booking Required — No Walk-On Sessions

All photographers must book a session in advance by submitting a request through our website. Walk-on sessions are not permitted.

Advance booking allows us to:

Prevent overlapping photography sessions
Avoid interference with farm work, field trips, or events
Ensure photographers are placed in approved areas
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for guests and staff

We strongly encourage booking at least a few days in advance. If we are unable to accommodate a request or do not respond in time, the session may not proceed.

This policy applies to all photographers, including mini sessions.

Pricing

$100 per hour
1-hour minimum required

Mini sessions are permitted but are still subject to the 1-hour minimum.

Liability Waiver & Insurance

Photographers must submit a liability waiver and proof of insurance once per season (not per session).
Clients being photographed (families, couples, etc.) must also sign a simple client waiver.

Props & Property Care

Props are allowed, provided they are safe and appropriate for the farm setting.
No litter of any kind — anything brought onto the property must leave with you.
No confetti, glitter, or gender-reveal cannons that could pollute crops or land.
We appreciate photographers who treat Hickory Hill Orchard with the same care and respect we do.
